Hi I am Oriana Mendez
Full-Stack JavaScript Developer, based in Sweden.
Hi there! I'm Oriana Mendez, a Full-Stack Developer with a passion
for front-end design, originally from Venezuela and now based in
Stockholm, Sweden. My career journey began in physiotherapy, but
driven by curiosity and a desire for new challenges, I made a bold
switch to web development about a year and a half ago. This
transition has allowed me to combine my detail-oriented nature and
problem-solving skills with a newfound love for coding.
I've honed my skills through platforms like
SheCodes, specializing in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Responsive Design,
Bootstrap, and API integration. In addition to my self-driven
learning, I'm currently enrolled in a rigorous bootcamp at
SALT
(School of Applied Technology), where I study and work full-time as
a full-stack JavaScript developer. Here, I've gained hands-on
experience with technologies like Next.js, Node.js, React.js,
Express.js, and database management, while also collaborating in a
mob programming environment.
My diverse background, which spans across physiotherapy,
entrepreneurship, and tech, has equipped me with a unique
perspective on problem-solving and adaptability. Having lived and
worked in Venezuela, Argentina, and Sweden, I bring a deep
understanding of multicultural environments and thrive in
collaborative, multicultural teams. I'm fluent in Spanish and
English, and proficient in Swedish, which further enhances my
ability to work in diverse settings.
When I'm not coding, I enjoy reading, traveling, trekking and
engaging in crafts. I'm excited to continue growing in the world of
web development and to contribute to building innovative software
that makes a meaningful impact.
